International Business News – From January to July this year, Vietnam’s textile and garment exports amounted to 22.239 billion U.S. dollars, up 20.4% year-on-year, and yarn exports amounted to 3.097 billion U.S. dollars.
From January to July, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports to the United States were 11.138 billion U.S. dollars, with the U.S. accounting for 50%. Exports to Japan and South Korea were 2.059 billion U.S. dollars and 1.683 billion U.S. dollars respectively.
From January to July, Vietnam’s cotton yarn exports amounted to 3.097 billion U.S. dollars, down 2.1% year-on-year, including 1.443 billion U.S. dollars to China, with China accounting for 46.59%, and 77.1 million U.S. dollars to India. from January to July, Vietnam exported 964,000 tons of yarn, down 17.1% year-on-year.
In 2021, Vietnam’s textile and garment exports will be $32.75 billion, up 9.9 percent year-on-year, and yarn exports will be $5.609 billion, 50.1 percent year-on-year. According to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports in 2022 are targeted at $43 billion.
